The 2025 CrowdStrike Global Threat Report highlights how cybercriminals now operate like businesses. 

One of the fastest-growing trends is Access-as-a-Service, where initial access brokers infiltrate networks and sell entry points to ransomware groups and other malicious actors. The shift from traditional malware to identity-based attacks is accelerating, with 79% of observed breaches relying on valid credentials and remote administration tools instead of malicious software.
