The Twitter accounts of approximately 15 NFL teams got hacked a few hours ago by who appears to be Saudi Arabia-based hacking group OurMine.
By the looks of things, hackers obtained access to the official NFL Twitter account before compromising a series of other accounts belonging to NFL teams like Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, and Chicago Bears.
After breaking into accounts, hackers only removed the profile image and then posted a message to claim the attack and explain that “everything is hackable.”
“Hi, we’re Back (OurMine). We are here to Show people that everything is hackable. to improve your accounts security Contact us,” the hackers said in a message posted from the official Twitter accounts of several NFL teams. In some cases, the hackers also said they were “just kidding.”
