By doing so, they aim to deceive recipients into believing that the phishing emails are legitimate and urgent. The phishing emails contain a ZIP file attachment, which, when opened, reveals an MSI installer. This installer is loaded with a malware strain known as ANONVNC. Once installed, ANONVNC provides the attackers with remote desktop access to the infected computers. This level of access allows them to monitor activities, steal sensitive information, and potentially disrupt operations.
